Benjamin Tupas is an independent Australian digital storyteller and multidisciplinary artist based in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Working in the areas of video, photography and graphic design, Benjamin is passionate about telling human stories with a strong sense of place.
Benjamin is the current Artistic Director of LIT Festival: Stories in Light, a biennial night festival that shares local stories through site-specific light projection and light sculptures.
His most recent solo show ‘Mindanao Story Cycle’, exhibited at Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery explored personal ideas about Filipino identity and family history through video and audio installation.
In 2016, Benjamin co-founded Story Artist Run Collective (storyARC) an artist-run initiative for regionally-based digital storytellers with theatre artist Dr Sarah Peters.
